About the Opportunities: We are actively screening well qualified, experienced candidates for upcoming and ongoing projects across both Edmonton and Calgary operations. Specializing in brick, block, and stone installation as well as complex historical restoration and stone panel work, these roles will offer successful candidates’ opportunity to work on diverse, rewarding projects, including commercial buildings, restoration sites, residential features, and masonry repairs.
Requirements:
- Certified Journeyman Bricklayer in Alberta (Red Seal Certification) ** equivalent experience with demonstrable skill level will be considered**
- 1 to 2 years experience as a Journeyman Bricklayer
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and a team-player attitude
- Willingness to perform physically demanding work
Key Responsibilities:
- Laying bricks, concrete block, glass block and various types of stone for new build and repair/restoration projects
- Remove and replace existing masonry work for repairs
- Cutting and trimming bricks and concrete block to specification using hand and power tools
- Working at heights on scaffolding, swing stages or hydro mobiles
- Handling weight up to 45kg (100lbs)
- Develop industry skills and knowledge through on-the-job experience
- Perform other related duties as directed
Specifics:
- Positions available starting Immediately
- Must supply your own tools, steel-toed safety boots, hard hat and gloves
- Other safety equipment will be provided as required for the work environment
- Jobsites are located throughout the city and the surrounding areas
- Jobsites may have minimal or no access to public transportation!!

**Hours may range between 32-40 hours/week depending on weather and site conditions.
Overtime may also be requested on occasion.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to pass pre-employment Fit to Work Screening
- CSTS Certification
- Reliable transportation is an asset
